Anzac day we set off on our journey, it was pouring rain in Geelong.
After a stop in Bendigo to see an 80 year young Auntie Meg,we were on the road to Mungo National Park.
We arrived arrived at 5ish after 647kms on the road.Set up and slept like babies.

Next morning we drove around the 70km tour through the Park. This was interesting seeing the Wall of China and several old shearing sheds and historical sites The sand dunes were amazing.
We wanted to head to Menindee Lakes Nat Park, but due to the Darling river flooded we had to take several detours which bought us out at Broken Hill.
We stayed 36 km north of Broken Hill at Mount Gipps.Station where we were met by John who took us to a great spot where we could use the kitchen as there were no guests there that night, we had a great open fireplace in a sheltered area so we sat and read till we went to bed.

In the morning after brekky and photo's we met a lady from West Geelong who was staying on the property. After chatting and packing up it was time to hit the road.
We headed up the Silver City Highway towards Tibooburra before turning off towards Cameron Corner. We stayed at Fort Gray camping area in the Stuart National Park.
The main attraction at this time was the amount of water in the lakes which was very unusual and spectacular to see,the flora in the area is beautiful the small grey shrubs to the great gum trees. The contrast is so pretty. There also is a ruin from settlers dated to 1800's

Travelled to Cameron Corner which is the junction of South Australia, NSW and Queensland.
Just about got thrown out on my ear when I asked if they could make me a Cafe Latte, What!!! she exploded did I think they were. After a chat she made me an instant coffee It was horrible, but I smiled, then she offered me day old scone.Ha Ha I asked if she had whipped up a fresh batch of muffins. After we left Daryl wanted to do the Bore Track but it was closed due to flooding so we headed down to the Strzelecki Track and went towards Innaminka, The causeway was in flood so after checking the depth which was 2.9 metres we turned around and drove to the Dig Tree.We set up for the night and used for the first time our netted room coz the flies are terrible. We were camped on the banks of the Cooper river.
